A stunning digital display from Garden Route Digital Artists.
Be inspired by a variety of digital artworks, some of which come to life with 3d and video content. Graphic Design, Illustration, Animation, Motion Graphics, plus AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) demos. Come and experience digital technologies and explore the creativity possible with the digital medium.
MAIN STREET MEANDER: 20 Sept 4-8pm
We will be doing a taster pop-up exhibition of select works on the coffee terrace at the Ivory Haus on Plett’s Main Street as part of the Main Street Meander to kick off the Plett Art Festival. A huge thank-you to The Ivory Haus for the use of this lovely space.
EXHIBITION OPENING: 21 Sept 4pm
Join us for our full digital art display and our venue’s Exhibition Opening and view digital art, alongside traditional art from the Plett Art Association. Garth Ensley will be doing Virtual Reality Demos on the 21st from noon to 6pm.
Venue: The Plett Community Hall, Piesang Valley (opp Plett Agri). A huge thank-you to Plett Tourism for the use of this space for our main exhibition.

DEBRA DE VILLIERS
Debra de Villiers:
curator of this Digital Art Exhibition, is a Multimedia Graphic Designer/who’s design business, Dimension Design, specialises in professional branding, websites and marketing materials for clients, and the fusion of her traditional art and digital design background with the latest creative technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR), AI, 3D and Motion Graphics.
Debra’s Digital Art Brand, Firehart, is where her own creative expression runs free, unrestricted by client requirements. Debra prints her digital art onto clothing and other products, found in some local retail shops and online.
Debra is inspired by the natural world, and also the fantasy world of imagination. Her current work on display is a study of the element of Fire, following on from last year’s Water Element series. Come and see how Debra draws inspiration from the sun, fire, volcanos and the geo-thermal aspects of our earth.

IAN ROSSENRODE
Ian Rossenrode:
Traditional & Digital artist with a degree in Fine Art and years of ‘digital / multimedia’ experience with international companies [in SA and abroad] as well as with several UK universities – now ‘back’ in Africa and teaching Multimedia online, while taking on art commissions.
Ian works in traditional painting/drawing mediums and also the digital medium (painting and drawing traditionally on an iPad). Ian was designing before Photoshop existed, so has a wealth of knowledge and experience from over the years of the design and digital art world evolving and changing to where it is today..

SIMONE FRANKS
Simone Franks:
also known as Earthborne Yogi, is a skilled graphic designer and wellness facilitator who is on a mission to nurture wellness through community. She previously did design for packaging, signage, social media, web, 3D and animation content through the corporate lens.
Her current work is centred around fostering connection with the earth, our own bodies and each other. It also depicts ‘an out of this world’ experience that she believes is possible in the imagination of individuals and thus in how we experience the world.
Apart from her artwork, she also hosts monthly Silent Disco dances and yoga events, along with forest immersions and outreaches. She also shares insights from Ayurveda, recognizing food as foundational medicine for holistic well-being.
Additionally, she conducts hypnotherapy and life coaching sessions aimed at removing self limiting beliefs so individuals can truly begin to thrive. She believes in the power of commUNITY to heal and nourish the soul.
